Now running OSX 10.8.3

Hi just got a new mac running OSX 10.8.3 and my old software (silverfast AI) doesn't seem to work. Am i right in thinking that i now have to buy Silverfast 8 in order to use my scanner? Seems a bit unfair as one of the reasons i bought this scanner was because of the bundled software.

Dear Ed,

SilverFast is not supported in OSX 10.8 because Apple dropped support for PPC software in10.7.
Therefor SilverFast had to be rewritten completely.

In case you purchased SilverFast/or a scanne bundel within the last three months this is a free upgrade.
Otherwise you will have to purchase an upgrade through our webstore.
