No "preview" screen

No "preview" screen
I am not sure if this is the right term, preview screen. I had an old version that was working fine then I upgraded to 6.6 and now the screen that shows the picture after the scan does not start with the program. I have rebooted, I have restarted the scanner, I even yelled at the darn thing and I cannot see the picture after the scan. PLEASE HELP!

Dear customer,
I assume you are using a windows system?
Windows sometimes folds the preview window to a tiny window.
It is there you only have to look for it, it might hide behind another window.
Unfortunately it gets afraid if being yelled at so won't come out if you do so.
But gently moving away other windows will reveal it's hiding place.
Doubbleclicking the small visible blue area or pulling the lower right corner will unfold it to normal size.
You can alsoreset SilverFast through the service dialog which will also reset Windows' window settings.
But it will also reset everything elese.
