NIKON LS2000 SilverFast v5.1 WINXP

Hi,
just got terribily frustrated since I cannot get SilverFast working properly on WinXP. It says scanner not found while Nikon software NikonScan3.1.2 does.
in the FAQ I couldn't find anyreasonable answer. I've also try to enable the 15M hole in the bios...loaded the latest ASPI...
any help?

Dear Dracula,
SilverFast version 5.1 is NOT compatible to XP. Try the latest SilverFast version 6 instead.
