Nikon LS-20 with IT-8 calibration

Hi all together

I just installed the latest version of Silverfast Ai 6 (6.0.2r32) and hoped that the IT-8 calibration works now. I failed. I had also no success with the Version 6.0.xxx I originally received that week.

I have following hard- and software combination:

-PentiumPro 200 MHz with 96 MB RAM
-Nikon Coolscan II (LS-20)

-Windows 2000 / latest service pack installed
-PhotoShop 5.5
-SilverFast Ai 6.0 (installed in Plugin-mode)

I don't see the calibration button in the preview window and I'm not able to enter the serial number of the IT-8 calibration CD (Feature CD) in the upgrade window.

What goes wrong?

I suppose you have already solved your problem, but in case other customers have the problem, here is an answer.

One can always force the serialization by first clicking on the "i" button on the left side of the preview, then pressing the "Credits" button, and then clicking on the button "Serialize" or "Upgrade" ("Serialize" if it is the first serialization and "Upgrade" if the version has already been serialized e.g. without IT8 calibration). The serialization dialog then appears.

If you want to serialize the IT8 calibration tool, be sure that the serial number is correct (and can activate the tool).
