Hello:
I've upgraded to Photoshop (Mac) 6.0.1, and reinsalled my Silverfast AI PS Plugin, version 4.2.0r4, but every time I try scanning with the plugin, it asks for my serial number and name. I have read the posts and knowledgebase, and I do not have any other Silverfast TWAIN drivers installed that may be confusing the PS Plugin. I have also assigned five times the standard required memory to Photoshop, so that is not a factor.
I have tried upgrading to the 4.3.2r06 serial version, but the same result - I must input my registration information every time I scan, or cancel the registration dialog, and I am put in demo mode.
This is very frustrating; please reply with a fix to this, so I can get some work done. Is there an incompatibility between your software and the 6.0 version of PhotoShop???
Thanks for any help in this matter....
By the way, the scanner being supported is an Epson Expression 800, and the SilverFast software was bundled with the Professional bundle of that scanner. Thanks.

PhotoShop 6 opens the plugins in read only mode, which makes it impossible to write the serial number. That is the reason why the serial number is lost and has to be retyped every time you enter SilverFast.
We fixed this problem as soon as PS 6 came up, but there might be versions of SF that don?t have the fix, because they are too old. Version 4.x is very old is not supported any longer, but please contact our support directly at "support@silverfast.de" to see if they can help.
Eric.
