Multiple scanners

Postby Randy Lane » Tue Dec 10, 2002 2:19 pm

I currently have the Silverfast 6 AI PS (7.0) plugin for the Epson 2450 flatbed (USB 2.0) installed on Windows XP sp1. I primarily use it for medium format negatives. I plan to replace my antiquated HP S20 filmscanner with a Microtek 4000TF (firewire) for 35mm scanning. Will I be able to have installations of Silverfast 6 AI installed on the same computer to support both scanners?

Dear Randy.

Yes, you can have both SilverFast versions installed at the same computer.
Note: you will need to purchase SilverFast for the AS4000tf, ask the sales department for a discount at sales@silverfast.de.

Eric.

Microtek software bundle

Postby Randy Lane » Wed Dec 11, 2002 2:42 pm

The literature says the Microtek 4000TF comes bundled with Silverfast AI 6, not Silverfast SE. And all of the reviews I read seem to indicate so also. Everything says I don't have to buy anything from Silverfast in this case. Am I mistaken somehow?

Dear Randy,

if the distributor from whom you intend to buy the Microtek 4000TF says it is bundled with SilverFast AI 6, then you will not have to purchase any extra version.

Dear Randy.

Thomas is right.
The reason why I said that you have to purchase SilverFast for the AS4000tf is because I didn?t know that there is a bundle with Microtek in your country. I?m a developer not a supporter, sorry

Eric.
