I upgrade to AI 6 (Nikon LS4000 scanner, Win 98 SE) without too much trouble. I did have to remove old version of AI.

I can not get my old calibration Serial number to work. What gives? DO I need to buy EVEN MORE software to upgrade?

Version 6 uses different serial numbers. That?s why your old number doesn?t work with the new version. If you lost the IT8 calibration feature, please contact our support directly at "support@silverfast.de".

I too have lost IT8 Calibration in Version 6 for my Epson and Nikon scanners.

I have emailed support and am now waiting to hear back.

While I'm waiting... Some other notes.

1. PDF documentation for Silverfast 6 downloads as "SilverFast_Manual_Ai55_E.pdf"

2. It would be nice if all the Silverfast Quicktime movies were in one spot. Currently the HiRepp and Negafix movies are elsewhere on the site. In fact it would be nice to have a "Download All SF-6 Movies" in one link.

IT8 Issue Solved :-)

Postby ianders1 » Tue Aug 20, 2002 4:13 pm

Martin was kind enough to work with me on resolving the IT8 serial # problem :D In my case, when I entered the serial # for the upgrade, it asked me for the Feature CD, which I don't have. Martin was kind enough to help me with this in a very timely manner, and now I'm up and running.

If you have the same issue, just respond to Martin or whoever sent you the IT8 serial number with your 6-digit PhotoShop or Windows No:, which is listed at the top of the Upgrade Window.

Thanks again Martin,

Ian A.
