lasersoft ai 5.5 update install

I tried to install SX E-5.5.2r12(Expr1680) update on 0s x 10.2.8
into photoshop cs and or photoshop701 classic.
On initial attempt it never found CS as a plugin folder to install into.
Manually copied the Silverfast plugin folder from the 70.1 folder.
No luck seeing the scanner from either version of photoshop. Both versions do list the plugin and make the attemp to no avail.

SilverFast 5.5.2 does not support Photoshop CS (aka Photoshop .
In order to use the SilverFast plug-in from within PS CS (via the File -> Import menu) you would need to upgrade to SilverFast 6.
