IT8 Calibration Icon Missing

I wiped my hard disk recently and have re-installed Silverfast Ai but now find that the IT8 calibration button is missing as well as the option under 'Scanner>Internal' to select 'Calibration.

I upgraded my version of Ai to 6.2.1r6 over the Internet but am still having this very annoying problem.

Can anyone advise me on how re retrieve the IT8 button to calibrate my scanner as I've been trying to solve this problem for hours... please

I've now un-installed Silverfast Ai and re-installed it and the IT8 calibration icon is still missing.

I've been at this for 2 days now and can't see why it's happening... can you offer any advice?

I've now reached the point where on starting up Silverfast in Photoshop CS the calibration icon appears but I'm asked for my serialisation No.

I have two numbers; one supplied on the 'Features' CD and one supplied on the Silverfast booklet.

If I enter the serial No. on the 'features' CD I'm asked again to re-serialise. If I enter the serial No. on the booklet the calibration icon dissapears!

Now I'm getting angry and very confused why this program should be so difficult to install.

SilverFast Serial Number, and IT-8 (a.k.a. "Zweite") Serial Number, are two different numbers, with admittedly quite confusing names. Ask LaserSoft Support which of the numbers you have activates IT-8.
