Is it OK to install both the TWAIN and Adobe Plug-in (SE)?

Postby JChurchey » Sun Jan 04, 2004 1:51 am

I was experimenting and decided to install both the TWAIN version and Adobe Plug-in versions of 6.1.0r8(Epson-SE). All seems to be functioning OK and the only possible consequence I noticed is the maintenance of two sets of Prefs and Previews folders (one in TWAIN32 and the other in Photoshop Elements\Plug-ins.)

I brought SilverFast up from Picture Window Pro and from the SF-Launcher. Both versions of SilverFast must be installed for this to work.

Will having this setup cause any performance or operational issues?

BTW - version 8 fixes the SF Launcher problem!

It's no problem at all, I've had both PS and TWAIN versions installed for years. The only consequence is that the TWAIN version doesn't automatically match up ICC profiles.
