I just purchased a Plustek 7200 (35mm) scanner which comes bundled with SilverFast SE 6 software. The SilverFast installation permits installation of SilverFast "Photoshop-Plug-in" or TWAIN.
??
Does the Silverfast plug-in properly/fully interface with Adobe PhotoShop 'Elements 4.0'?
OS is WinXP-Pro SP2.

How can I tell if the bundled SilverFast s/w is ver 6.5? The part # on the CD is 22-A11-0051A112.
Do I have to uninstall TWAIN (if so, how?)?
Can I go through the install process again and select only the plug-in to be installed?
Additional info:
I've tried installing the SilverFast s/w with TWAIN and without the Photoshop plug-in. On the screen with the 3 installation options, I unchecked the first/top box for the Photoshop plug-in; checked the second/middle box for TWAIN; and left the default check in the third/bottom box for documentaion.
However, the installation did appear to first go thru the process for installing TWAIN, and then a second installer started and installed the documentation, it seems as if SilverFast was not actually installed. The CD case with the disc has a serial/key number for the disc, but the installation process never did request this number. There are several entries in c:\windows\twain_32 and c:\windows\twain_32\SilverFast UScan-SE, and the documentation entries under c:\Program Files\LaserSoft. There are no new desktop icons or Start Menu shortcuts for launching Silverfast.
When pressing the "IntelliScan" button on the Plustek 7200 scanner (which is supposed to use SilverFast) and error message is displayed saying that Silverfast is not installed on this computer. This same message is also displayed whenever the scanner QuickScan software is started.
