How to install Microtek 4000TF

I connected my Microtek 4000TF via USB,but it`s not recognized in the device manageras scanner,just as unknown device.I inserted the Microtek CD as wll as the Silverfast CD,but my system(XP) cannot find any required inf-files.
What can I do?If I just install SF (what I tried)the plugin of cours does not find the scanner

Forget it,it works now.I made the fault to plug in the scanner via USB prior to installing the software.This way doesn`t work with USB.
