I have an Epson 770V scanner and software version 6.4.4r7. I put in a request for help and that was over a week ago. The problem that I am having is under XPpro my Silverfast software stopped working. I uninstalled it and reinstalled. Will not work, crashes and gives me memory error messages. I need to reinstall but the registry stills has my old install. YOUR uninstaller did not get rid of the orginal install. I was considering getting the upgraded version buy lack of help is a bit frustrating to say the least.
Thanks,
Richard Adams

Hello riooso,
After you run Add-Remove programs make sure you restart your computer if you are prompted. If you are not prompted to restart the computer, go to c:\program files and delete the LaserSoft folder. The other place you will find files is C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR LOGON NAME]\Application Data in the LaserSoft Imaging folder. I believe any registry entries will be overwritten when you re-install.
Hope this helps!

You may use the combination Alt+Shift+S+F and click on "Start" to make the "Service Dialogue" come up. You will see a dialog box with a button for deleting the preference files. (Note that a Mac OS X admin user may not initially have enough file permission rights. You need to become "root".)
The other method is:
-- SF as Photshop module
<> ...Adobe Photoshop / Plug-ins / Import-Export / SilverFast(<>) / SilverFast / Prefs
-- SF as TWAIN module
"Preferences" folder of current system / TWAIN / SilverFast / Prefs
Hope this information helps!
