Have SE, want to try SE-plus

I got SE with my new scanner. I would like to check out SE-plus for scanning kodachome slides. I downloaded the demo version of SE-plus, but it has the same file name as SE. I installed anyway in a different folder than SE, thinking I'd be able to lauch either version. I got no errors, but the launcher gives me only one option and it is SE.

Is it possible for me to demo SE-plus? If so, what did I do wrong?

Dear randym,

You have done nothing wrong. The installer is the same for both versions, the serial number releases some tools accordingly. To be able to test the demo version of SE-Plus you will have to delete the serial number of SilverFast.

To do this you will first open SilverFast launcher, placing the mouse on top of the starting button of SilverFast (without clicking it) will show a second (small) button right next to it with some tools.

That button will open the service dialogue which you can use to delete the serial number and test SilverFast in Demo mode.
