Have Epson, bought Minolta?

Hello,

I have an Epson 3200 Photo that came with Silverfast Ai.

I just bought a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II.

I know that the Scan Dual II is not a listed scanner in your supported list, but I was hoping to try it out and see if it works at all.

If I chose to use Silverfast for my Minolta either now or in the future, how does that work? Do I need to purchase a separate license for the Minolta?

How do I install/use Silverfast on two different scanners connected to my desktop?

thank you for your interest in LaserSoft Imaging's software products.

SilverFast is developed specifically for each command set and chipset of a given scanner model range in order to achieve our goal: optimal scanning results.
Thus you cannot use a SilverFast Version developed for one scanner for a different one, even if the scanners in question come from the same manufacturer.

However, as an established customer with SilverFast you might be eligible for a discount price.

Please note that the MDSD II is quite different in terms of scanner connectivity from a III or IV series model. It is not very likely that their will be a specific SilverFast version within the near future.
