I tried to install SilverFast AI on my new Intel iMac running 10.4.6. Each time I get an error message after it's "searching for Photoshop". The specific message is "Error creating folder." 1008:9,-61
I'd been searching this forum earlier today and had seen a post indicating that SilverFast 6 did operate under Rosetta on the Intel Macs. Was I confused?
Both Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Creative Suite are installed.
Thanks for any help! The iMac was supposed to become my main computer for scanning and digital imaging, so I hope someone can help me get past this obstacle.

This is the best reference I could find in the forum.

So far, Epson and Nikon scanners (USB and FireWire) seem to run flawlessly. It will be a while until we can offer true cross- platform code, and right now it is too early to say whether there will be an upgrade charge for this.

I found this is the FAQ.
"Unfortunately LaserSoft Imaging cannot yet provide "universal binaries" installers of our SilverFast software range to support the new Macintoshes with Intel Core processors. Of course, this is scheduled for the very near future.
Until these releases are ready, you can already run SilverFast on Intel Macs using the Rosetta emulation with a number of scanners (provided that drivers are available). ..."
This might be a clue - I haven't installed drivers for the scanner yet. I'll locate those and try again. Maybe SilverFast is looking for something in the plugin folder for PS that it isn't finding. I picked up a stack of install disks and started loading. I might have the installation order out of whack. Wish me luck. :)
