Epson 2450 Photo Serialisation

I just bought SilverFast Ai for the 2450 but my Package contained a Epson 3200 Serialnumber. What to do? Do i need to get a new number or will it work? I am a bit afraid of testing it. If dont have very much knowledge of computers.
