DC-VLT installation problem

Postby saepapa » Thu Sep 18, 2003 9:04 am

Hello

I bought Silverfast Ai6 couple weeks ago with IT8 target.
And about a week ago I installed DC-VLT demo version for testing and today I actually purchased DC-VLT "SilverFast Ai 5+ - DC 6 VLT upgrade" version paying $99.
I received username and passwd for downloading updates and I downloaded newest DC-VLT "SFE-6.1.0r1(DC-VLT).exe" and installed it as a photoshop plugin and restarted computer.

Now I ran the DC-VLT and click the information tab and I found "Register" button and "WebUPdate" button are still grayded out and it is in still Demo mode when I clicked the "Credit" button.

I tried to deinstall and reinstall again but it didn't work.

Would you please let me know what's wrong??

Thank you

saepapa

Dear saepapa.

Two possible reasons:

1. You now have both plugins installed (demo and full) and you are using still the demo. In this case please uninstall the demo and evtl. search for SilverFast plugins on your harddisk.

2. Your second download was also a demo and not the full version. Please be sure to download the full vesion.

If this doesn?t help, please contact the support team at: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html.

Eric.

Dear Eric Flyvbjerg
Thanks alot for your reply.

1. I actually deleted Demo version of DC-VLT using Program/Add in Control Panel.

2. I downloaded the file using passwd I received from LaserSoft.
When I tried to download the newest version of DC-VLT it asked me to enter username and passwd so I did.
So I thought I got the retail version not demo version.
But the program never asked me to enter the serial number during installation.

Did I get the wrong file?
Do you have any other idea?

Thanks and Regards,
Saepapa
