Damaged CD

I have a copy of Silverfast SE that came with my Microtek I-700 scanner
I registered the software and downloaded the latest update ? I installed the latest and started the program ? I input the serial number and it ask me to install the old CD
No problem ? I thought, one of my two 3 year old daughters mangled the CD making it unusable ? I have the case with the serial number ? can you offer me some help with this issue ? I had planned to upgrade to AI but I can?t do that until I get the present one working
