Custom Profile won't install

I have a custom profile that links my Canon i950, my Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy and Photoshop. I get wonderful prints that match my screen (iMac flatscreen, OS X 10.3). I have just installed Silverfast and there are too many red tones when I print although the scan looks OK on my screen. I have placed my profile in the System Folder>ColorSync Profiles as directed, but it doesn't show up in the CMS menu under Options in Silverfast. When I got my custom profile I was directed to put it in Home>Library>ColorSync>Profiles so it is also there. What am I doing wrong?

Dear mardicar

SilverFast 6 Ai does list all ICC/ICM compatible profiles which it finds:
Mac OS X => /Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Windows NT/2000/XP => C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color

You might want to check your profile (a) is in the correct place and (b) it is a ICC-compatible profile.
