CD drive broken: other options to get software installed?

i bought a scanner which came with SilverFast software on a disk, unfortunately the optical drive on my laptop is broken...how can i get this installed?..i used my work computer to pull the software off the disc, so i was able to install it via a USB drive on my laptop...but after entering my serial number, it asks me to insert the disc!..please help....
