MacOS9. Photoshop 6.01. Nikon LS2000. SF6.0.2r2.
I have been struck dumb! I'm a long time SF user but...
I've been waiting to jump from an older version of SF6.0.1, because a few upgrade versions were OSX only.
Just upgraded to SF6.0.2.r2 and I can't figure out how to turn and Calibrate IT8 again. The upgrade made me go scurrying for my serial number, then locate my IT8 transparencies, but I thought hitting the 'i' button started the calibration process? Now I see some sort of "Web Update" button etc...
Please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. The Mac I am usng is a 6500 that is and has been dedicated/stand alone to the LS-2000 and the LS1000 before that. I've always used SF and this machine has no internet connection. Is that what it's looking for??
Sorry. I'm in a panic. Of course I installed the upgrade before scanning a job due in California today.
Ahrrggh Silverfast. I love you, but I'm gonna have to kill you some day.

No IT-8 Calibration Button
I've entered the same serial number that has worked in the past, yet with this update, I have no IT-8 calibration button.
In a panic, I was remembering entering separate serial numbers in different places and couldn't find them.
Shot myself in the foot, yesterday, by updating when I needed SilverFast up and working.
I guess I need to go to the support area and work with them.
--- if you are a new user and reading this --- don't get the wrong impression. Silverfast is still the best in my book.

There are two different numbers: one number only activates the plug-in and the other one activates the plug-in and the IT8 calibration tool. When you upgraded, you probably gave the wrong number for SF 5.5 and now you have a serial number for SF 6 that can only activate the plug-in but not the calibration tool.
I hope I was clear
.
Please contact our support team:
https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
They will send you a serial number to activate the plug-in and the calibration tool at once.

Thanks... I'm up and running again
You were right!!!!
I must have 30 different Silverfast serial numbers laying around and it is hard to figure out which ones to keep and wich ones to toss out.
SF Support was answered my email request for a working SF number was answered within two hours.
In my haste I took the long way to ask for help... but either way was very quick.
