Can not serialize Silverfast Ai ver 5.3.2r08 on XP machine

I had SilverFast 5.3.2r08 with IT8 calibration installed on my Win98 PC (upgraded from ver 5.1.1) with Photoshop 5.5

I'm trying to re-install 5.3.2r08 on a Windows XP PC, and while it accepts my serial number, when I try to activate the IT8 features I'm prompted to insert my features CD. When I purchased ver 5.1.1 there was no such thing as a features CD, so I don't have one.

I thought of installing ver 5.1.1 serializing it, and then upgrading, but version 5.1.1 can not find my scanner at all under WindowsXP.

How do I work around this?

Our tech support has already answered this issue, but for others with the same problem, there are alternative ways of activating IT8 calibration, without the need for a feature CD. If you purchased IT8 with version 5.x of SilverFast and do not have a feature CD, please contact our sales or tech support department for a serial number. Be sure to mention the scanner you have, the version of SilverFast, and the OS.

Version 6 users need not worry about this.
