At a dead end with serial number

Postby mr-metric » Tue Dec 25, 2007 9:10 am

I just recently purchased a Epson v700 flatbed scanner.

I've installed the Silverfast program that came with the machine and am not able to pull-up an "import" command within Photoshop (CS). In oter words there isn't a command to import anything relating to the scanner....

The Silverfast disk says "SE" on it and the sleeve has "SilverFast SE 6 serial number for Perfection V700 Photo" on the top above the serial number.

When the "SF Launcher" is started it says "SF Launcher v2.1.4" on the title bar.

I've tried to download an update (having registered silverfast upon installing it) and the website says my serial number on the CD sleeve is not valid or already registered.

My machine is a Mac Pro running 10.5.0.

Thanks,

Ron

mr-metric,

On the assumption the installed version at least runs, have you attempted to use the web update button? When you open SilverFast you will notice a number of buttons along the left side of the preview window. The "i" button all the way at the top will open a dialog box that has the "Web Update" button. In my experience using this method does not require me to enter my serial number manually.

Hope this helps, and Happy New Year!!!
