My present system is Plustek 7600i + Silverfast AI 6.6 only for 35 mm film and slides.
As I got a lot of old 120 negative film to scan, I wish to add a new scanner able to handle this type of film- Canoscan 9000f mark II or Epson V700 -and upgrade to Silverfast 8 on windows 7 (64).
Can I keep my 7600i for 35 mm and add the new scanner for 120 film connected to the same computer and work at different times with Silverfast 8 ?
Briefly can Silverfast 8 work- not simultaneouly-with two scanners of different brand ?
If not, does this require 2 computers with one scanner and a copy of silverfast on each system?
Thanks for your help.

Re: 2 scanners
Dear user,
You can have various scanners installed on your computer. SilverFast 8 and 6 will not cause any interference either. Only if you install SilverFast modules for the same product generation you will need to make sure all are using the latest updates.
So in case you wanted to use SilverFast 8 you would need to make sure to install the latest version for the Plustek and the Canon.
Kind regards,
Arne
