"This serial number is able to unlock additional featur

Hello. I work as a tech support in the Institute of Design in Lahti, Finland. We recently bought silverfast 6.1.0r5 to replace the older version 5. However, in the registration phase after entering the required information and the serial i get this:

"This serial number is able to unlock additional features, only.
Please enter first the basic number and update via the buttons Info->credits->update"

Now it is quite possible that i am a blind idiot, but there is no "update" button in the credit box. And even if there was, i am still wondering what does this error mean? What am i doing wrong?

Does it matter what i enter to the 'name' and 'user' fields? Maybe, just maybe, that is the case. The problem is that i did not order the program myself mand thus i never saw the manual or any other instructions and i cannot find them anymore. Since i did not find anything related to this problem from this forum , i thought ill drop a message to grow your database with one more strange question.

We use Windows XP and 2000 with nikon ls-2000, microtek 9600 xl and x12usl for example.

I got it. I tried to install the software intended for nikon ls-2000 for microtec scanner which, surprisingly, did not work at all. No wonder it got messy. Well, all is well that ends well. Silly me.
