Installed Silverfast AI 6 for use on an Nikon le4000.

Program wont start, I keep getting
"No SCSI controller detected" on startup of Silverfast.

Hello exfish,

I'm not familiar with this model. Does it in fact connect to your computer via the SCSI port?

Hi Rag,

No in fact it is a firewire scanner, that had me puzzled as well, but I can't get into the program to see if there are preferences that will allow me to change.

It just throws up that warning at startup.

exfish,

Try un-installing and re-installing the application. When you install it again you will notice a check box on the final dialog box regarding SCSI. Un-check that box since you don't have an SCSI scanner and that should take care of the problem for you.

Hi Rag

Thanks for that.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but there is no last page, no dialog box, and no check box, after selecting where to place the program, it runs straight into the reboot page.

So I'm no better off, would you have any other suggestion?

exfish,

Is your computer a MAC or Windows based system? I was assuming Windows.

If it is Windows based the screen I was talking about is the one with the finish button at the end of the installation.
