I'm going to be archiving several hundred family slides and I want to nail the files for posterity and was wondering which version I need. I currently own SE plus 8, but was wondering if another package would be more effective or flexible? I've been intrigued by the ai Studio or Archive Studio with IT8 calibration and benefits that would have. I'm also considering using the software for photo restoration when I finish the family project.
Thank you!

Re: Which Version Do I Need?
Dear customer,
The Archive Suite or Archive Suite SE can help you to digitize a large archive.
The Archive Suite SE includes SilverFast SE Plus and SilverFast HDR.
The Archive Suite includes SilverFast Ai Studio and SilverFast HDR Studio.
It allows you to use the SE Plus (Archive Suite SE) or Ai studio to archive your images without any changes.
The images are saved in the 48/64 Bit HDR(i) archive format.
These are unchanged, raw images, which than can be batch processed in the SilverFast HDR (Studio) software.
This allows you to scan images faster because no settings and adjustments have to be made.
The HDR (Studio) software also is much faster because it can process much more images in a batch than a scanner and does not have to wait for the scan operation to finish.
The Archive Suite (Ai Studio/ HDR Studio) offers advanced settings and the capability to calibrate your scanner using an IT8 target.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
