Hi all,
I have a Plustek OpticFilm 7600i AI, and the latest version of SilverFast.
I haven't used the scanner for a while - last time was about a year ago.
Just now tried to scan some new negatives, and it is producing the most wacky colours I have ever seen (see attachments).
I have attached a screenshot of the preview that was made before scanning, and the image that came out when scanned (the colours are vastly different. This is an issue I have also had in the past - the preview colours not matching the final scan output).
Does anyone know what this is about? Could it be a hardware issue?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
What's causing these extremely wacky colours?

Re: What's causing these extremely wacky colours?
Dear Alex,
That in deed looks strange. Have you tried resetting SilverFast to make sure it is not caused by a wrong setting?
Please also check the histogram in separated mode. (clicking the additive-button in the histogram dialog).
Also check the NegaFix settings, especially the Expansion of the expert settings.
the image almost seems like it is missing a color channel.
Kind regards,
Arne
