Strange artefacts when scanning slides with Silverfast SE Pl

Postby heartburn » Tue Mar 03, 2015 11:31 am

I have a problem when scanning with Silverfast SE Plus: I get very strange artefacts when scanning color slides. I Tried unmounting the slide, switched form JPEG to TIFF. No luck. I use iSRD, but no USM. When scanning with other software the problem doesn't arise, but Silverfast colours are much better. Could you help? (See attachment)

Thank you very moocher your help,

Kindest Regards,

Micha de Vries

Dear Micha de Vries,

What kind of film material are you scanning?

Have you tried deactivating iSRD?
A very dense material (like most silver halide base B&W film and certain Kodachrome films) block the infrared channel.
Causing it to become unusable for correction.

Unfortunately the image you sent does not really show enough to analyze the issue further.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
