silverfast it8 icc profile is not seen from colorquartett

i created a it8 icc profile. colorquartet and photoshop cannot see this profile. why not? do i need a profiling software to change the info to a icc profile which can be interpretated? i dont understand.............

Please be sure, you save the icc profile to the correct folder. Under windows it is the Windows / System32 / Spool / Drivers / Color folder, under Mac the Colorsync/Profiles.
