Hi there,
I'm new to Silverfast and am running both Studio Ai and HDR which I don't really understand.
Although I've managed to get a colour scan from Fuji NPH film, I can't find any profiles for any monochrome/black & white films such as:
1. Agfa APX25
2. Fuji Acros
3. Konica IR750
4. Panatomic X
When I've tried scanning the above film, I'm always getting a colour cast which I need to remove. When I remove the colour cast, some of the 'tone information' which I can see visibly, seems to disappear too. Consequently I think I'm losing detail in the shadows and highlights.
Is my version of Silverfast Ai Studio missing the Black & White film profiles, or are black and white film profiles not included?
If not, how do other scan users manage to scan black and white film with Silverfast Ai Studio?
Thanks.

There are some B/W profiles in SilverFast, but not all.
For B/W films best would be to scan in greyscale (8 or 16bit).
To create own profiles for your films you could use the expert functions in Negafix. They allow you to handle the curves by your own. That profile you could save and use later for another picture on the same film.
kind regards,
