Silverfast 8 and Diapositives

Postby fabiozeb » Mon Nov 07, 2011 3:50 pm

:-? Good afternoon to all, i recently buy scanner Canon 9000F and Silverfast 8.0
Sorry for my english, this is my question. I have many diapositives (about 800) and i want to convert them to digital photos. I'm not really interested to obtain professional result, i want make an archive to save my photos about when i was child.
With software Canon Mp Navigator, it is very easy, after prescan i see only the photo in diapositive.
With silverfast, after prescan and scan i obtain one file and i see also the diapositive. I have to cut the image manually after it.
With my scanner, i can scan 4 diapositive in one time. How can i select something to obtain 4 different images? Is it possibile?
Then, can i remove this "errors"? What is the best result i can obtain with silverfast (remeber, not a professional result) ? Thank you very much

Hi there

The red frame located in the preview area can be modified by dragging any of its borders or corners. Simply resize the red frame (which is the scanning frame) to comprise de first image, then drag other frames around the second, third and fourth image.

Once you have created the necessary scanning frames, you can start the actual scanning process by pressing and holding the "Scan" button and from the context menu you can select "batch scan". It will scan all your pictures to your hard drive.

You might want to check the our quickguide or documentation found at: http://www.silverfast.com/documentation/en.html
