Scanning negatives with Plustek 8200i

Postby jojoandmiyuki » Tue Jul 26, 2016 10:49 pm

Hello everyone -

I am trying to scan some negative strips using my Plustek 8200i and I am encountering a couple of issues.

1. After being able to scan a few negatives with no problem, I am not noticing that, after viewing the scanned picture correctly in the preview, the actual scanned version looks like a negative. I do not believe I have changed anything, but I have no idea how to get the scanner to produce the actual photo image, instead of the negative.

2. Most of my negatives are Kodacolor. However, under NegaFix I am not able to find this option.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Dear user,

Can you please check if you maybe have selected one of the HDR(i) RAW output formats.
Those would be saved unchanged and remain a negative. They also would seem very dark.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Dear user,

You can install a TWAIN interface for SilverFast. It is an optional element during installation.

Kind regards,
Arne
