Scanned Neg Images way too dark
Using Silverfast8, with Plustek 8200i, & having trouble with neg scans being far too dark. I've tried the Histogram, Graduation, Auto correct' just about every button on there but little effect; could it be because they're 110 negs? - in a dedicated film holder - as the Plustek isn't designed for them, or am I missing something..?!

Re: Scanned Neg Images way too dark
Dear customer,
does your holder let any light through next to the film?
It is possible your holder does not allow the internal calibration of the scanner to work properly.
Please also make sure you did not select one of the 48/64 HDR(i) RAW formats.
These are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Scanned Neg Images way too dark
Hi, thanks - there is some spare area around the neg image for light to come through; I've noticed it is lighter sometimes before any framing so maybe if I didn't frame the image straight away... I'll try that
