Hello,
I was using my Plustek 8200i with Silverfast AI Studio on my Asus laptop with brilliant results.
I had my input settings set to 36.58mm width and 25.40mm height (maximum active frame) which allowed me to capture the full 35mm frame.
I have since purchased a new iMac with 5k display only to find that the maximum active frame has been reduced to 36.15mm width and 24.72mm height, which slightly crops my once full frame.
Why is the new iMac not capable of scanning the same area as my Asus laptop was, when using the same scanner and software?
Thanks!
Dan.

Dear Dan,
It seems the Windows and Mac drivers offer different scan sizes.
You would have to ask Plustek why this is the case.
SilverFast can only use the drivers as they are provided by the manufacturer, so we can not change this.
But as both sizes allow to scan 35mm film this should not be an issue.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Sorry but that's not true.
As you can see from the screen shots, the iMac scan is now cropped on the sides and the black boarders of the negative are no longer there.
The complete 35mm negative is not available to be scanned as it is on my laptop (Windows 7).
I have contacted Plustek but have yet to receive a reply.
Thanks :]

Dear customer,
This is strange.
Unfortunately we can not change this as the scanner's driver defines the scannable area and that is being created by Plustek.
I will forward this behavior.
Kind regrads,
Arne Ketelhohn.
