Running AI in XP
On prescan, I come up with a frame already defined.
- (Perhaps) for this reason, I cannot get Zoom to work as described in the manual (hold down Ctrl key , etc.) How do I get this to work?
- no preset zoom ratios are available on the prescan window
- (really frustrating) there is no reset button (per the Mac) on the main control panel. I have Prescan, Scan, Quit, and Options.
Are these all quirks of the Windows version of AI, or are there config parms I can set somewhere?
Thanks so much for helping a beginner!!

Dear evogel99
Which release version number of SilverFast is this?
You might want to install the free update.
Pressing SHIFT will changed the "Options" button to "Reset all".

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Oddly, I stumbled across the SHIFT key solution last night (ALT seems to works as well).
I am using the current update of AI.
When I first prescan, I get a marquied frame around the entire scanner area.
Is this a default - or can I suppress that? Or, can I deactivate the frame so that I candefine a new one?
If I shrink the frame to some part of the image, then I can start new frames anywhere outside the active frame.
