Hello,
I was wondering something,
I use Silverfast SE Plus and use an outputresolution of 300dpi which makes the size of most imges around 4-5 MB, this is fine for me cause I only want to have some Albums printed.
When I open the images in Photoshop it tells me the same about the size, however if I check image details in my folders it says the size is about 500-800 kb.
It's no big deal and no problem since I can perfectly print them but I'm curious why my folders show a different size, so was wondering if someone else noticed this and can tell me how come.
Thanks in advance!

Dear Dalton,
I have noticed that but do not know the reason for that behavior. I guess in this case the most indicated to answer the question is Adobe or one of its employees.
Cheers

Oke thanks,
maybe I check it with them,
however it does make things bit easier, because sometimes i might need to send them somewhere, this way I hardly need an FTP server or burn them.

Notice that also and would like to know if someone contacted the developers or admins. I would love to hear what they have to say about this .

Dear Paul,
When you have a picture in a imaging program, it will show you the file size of that picture without compression, if you save that picture in a format that uses compression (e.g. JPEG, GIFF, etc), the resulting file size will shrink. If you save the picture using a format which will not use any kind of compression, the resulting file will be about the same size as the imaging program is showing you.
Cheers
