New with Silverfast 8 and Kodak negatives

Postby sergec10 » Wed Aug 24, 2011 10:34 pm

Hi,

I am at a loss here since I do not know what to use in the Film types when I have different types of 35 mm negatives.

For instance

Kodak GA 100 is Gold 100
Kodak CF 1000 5090 is ?
Kodak Safety film 5075 is?

Is there a list of corresponding symbols?

Thanks

Sergec

Not really, but google is your friend. I am sure if you google the film types you have, you will find out which sales name were given to those stripes.

Hi,

Well I am not too happy with the lack of negatives profiles.

I found one of the competitors, v**s**n, with more than 180 profiles just for Kodak films.

I do not understand why Silverfast cannot supply the same. After all, they are just tables right, and the information has never been secret.

That I must say weighs heavily in my choosing a scanning software as it is an essential link in the process.

Thanks anyhow

Serge
