New user with no internal RGB Profile ?

Postby Archie » Tue Aug 19, 2003 5:22 pm

I am a new user to SilverFast and the digital arena. Having recently bought a Microtek Artixscan 12tf and an Epson 2100 printer I am getting there but have a long way to go. Although I am mostly scanning and outputing B&W images I still get colour :-? casts despite doing various calibrations. I recently tried the IT8 calibration prcess but a box appeared telling me I had no internal RGB profile, is this crucial and if so what does it mean.

The Internal profile is needed for color management to work. It describes the color space you want your colors to reside system (a kind of coordinate system for colors).

Please choose the internal profile in the "Option" dialog and there in the second group box of the CMS panel (there's one of the popups for this).

We recommend AdobeRGB for general use.
