Menu inconsistent with window?

The Silverfast window I have set to "Transp. 35mm film". In the menubar under Image I pull down Scan Mode and find "Transp. 35mm slide" checked. Don't these two interface features control the same parameter? Shouldn't the settings be identical? Which should I believe? For now I will manually set them to agree with one another.

I could not reproduce your issue on our testing systems.
But please note that OS X Beta versions are not officially supported.
This might be a bug in the OS X beta you are using.
