I’m trying to get familiar with my new scanner (Reflecta ProScan 7200) and Lasersoft Ai 8 software.
I’m working in the WorkflowPilot. Source: Slide; Task: Edit.
After the prescan I van choose five scan dimension formats: 03 Mpx to 6.0 Mpx.
My question: why is the scan dimension limited to 6 Mpx? In another task I could get a higher resolution or am I wrong?
Limited resolution in task 'Edit'.

Re: Limited resolution in task 'Edit'.
Dear customer,
The workflows offer various sensible presets.
You can create your own Workflows in the SilverFast preferences.
Here you can copy and edit an existing Workflow as you need it.
(The WorkflowPilot must be deactivated to do so.)
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Limited resolution in task 'Edit'.
Thanks for your answer.
I've tried to make a custom workflow which combined the highest possible optical resolution (3600) with 48 bit depth.
That seems impossible. The only way to do that is manual (not with the WorkflowPilot).
Am I correct?

Re: Limited resolution in task 'Edit'.
To do that is actually pretty simple.
Open the preferences' Workflow tab.
Select for example "slide" and "edit".
Then press "clone job".
Give it a name and simply exit the preferences.
The new task will have no size limitation.

Ah, 'clone job' was the way to go. I had no idea.
Thanks a lot!
