I'm am currently using an Epson V750 with Silverfast Ai. I already own an IT8 target and would like to calibrate my system with Silverfast. My question is what upgade do I need to do this? Do I have to buy your IT8 target to upgrade? thanks for any help.

You would purchase the IT8 version of software that matches the one you are currently using (i.e. if you are using AI Studio you would purchase AI Studio IT8). The IT8 version comes with a target that has barcode which is automatically read by AI Studio IT8.
When calibrating it is important not only to have an IT8 target, but the associate color value file. The values you scan are compared to the values in the file.
