Dear sirs,
my scan material is glass photographic negative plates; I need to obtaine TIFF images 16-bit greyscale 1200 dpi.
But trying to open a TIFF scan in GIMP processor or in XnView viewer, I meet a problem: these scans are multilayered - there are the second frame in the TIFF scan - a little thumbnail image. How can I avoid this thumb appearance in TIFF: these scans are intended for further image processing and I need in one layer image of plates.
Thank you in advance
how to get 1 layer TIFF scan?

Dear Pakuliak,
You have to open the "options" window and select the panel "special". Once there un-check the option called HiRePP which is active by default.
Cheers
