Hey there, just wondering if there is a reason or a remedy for silverfast SE8, clipping the histogram? It blows out my highlights and I can't retrieve them. I know the film was properly exposed. For confirmation, I've scanned the same frames with epson scan, it handles the highlights just fine and retrieves all of the details. It happens with all film types and sizes.
I'm scanning on the v600.

Re: Highlight clipping
What kind of film material are you scanning?
Are these positives or negatives?
Which version of SilverFast are you using? (SE, SE Plus, Ai Studio and version number)
Make sure the scanner's calibration area remains undisturbed. It is located at the beginning of the scan plane. The included film holders have a cut out there. If any material sticks into that area it can cause all kinds of strange effects.
Kind regards
Arne
