Getting banding lines in trans mode?

Epson 3200 & silverfast se
Bands are of different widths and run the length of the scanner. very prominant. Happens in gray or color only in trans mode

Do they appear when you use Epson Scan as well? If they do you have a dust problem and need to clean the glass.
