Hi,
I recently bought the Plustek OpticFilm 7300, with the LaserSoftImaging Silverfast SE software included.
I have started with scanning some slides (positives) and have exported them with a 1440 dpi resolution.
Most of the scans look very well and are beyond my expectations; the resolution is fine, the color-depth and color-realism is ok.
However, when scanning slides with landscapes on it, for example out of the window of an airplane, or through the window of a bus, there seems to be a problem:
the colours of the image aren't 'realistic' or are not reproduced correctly as they should be; the image seems to "granulate" (is this appropriate english?); and somewhere there most be something wrong with the contrast-birghtness range: objects in a shadow which are visible on the slide (when you just simply look at it) can't be seen on the scanned image.
Now, my question is: Has this problem something to do with the 'dynamic range' of this scanner (so a simple hardware limit) or can these problems be fixed in a 'software-way' with silverfast ?
Thanks

Dear kleurplaatje,
to increase the dynamic range of the scanner you can use our Multi-Exposure Feature which is featured in SilverFast SE Plus and Ai Studio
You could try it by yourself with the free Demo Version to see the imporvements.
