correct color setting

I'm having trouble to configure the correct color setting. Well, I should better say I'm confused about the color differences between different settings, the print and scans provided by the film developer.

I have a Nikon Coolscan V ED. The pictures are on a Fuji Reala 100 film.

Here are 3 scan versions.

Scan provided by the film developer (from the picture CD):

The print looks similar to the scanned picture.

Well I don't remember how the sky looked like as I took the picture. Well the question is: Why have the pictures that big differences and where is the mistake? I don't think the sky looked like in the last picture and.
I've selected in NegaFix the film Superia 100 because with Superia Reala 100 the pictures have too much red cast (also with CCR).

Could please someone give me a hint of what am I doing wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong - just noticing the effect of the different curves applied for the different neg types. i honestly don't know which one to use since i don't shoot that film. You can use whichever one you like best as it is only the results that matter. Sunsets seem to be a personal choice anyway.

One thing i would change - colorspace - at least use Adobe1998 fir the workspace - with sRGB, unless you are publishing to web only , you are giving up a bit of tonal range for each of the color channels. And consider profiling your monitor or lcd panel - Adobe gamma or similar at least to get the tonal range close or something like a Spyder for closer profiling.

It will be difficult to match what you see on the screen with what is printed out without using a color managed workflow (scanner, display, printer). ANd matching what the vendor printed is another story - possibly different type of printing (inkjet versus dye sublimation or wet chemistry perhaps ?) , different paper types...etc.

Thank you. I think the truth is somewhere between the first two pictures. I took some other pictures today, also with a digital camera just to compare. I'll see how that turns out. The sunset today was more like the first picture. The problem on the 2nd and 3rd picture is that below the horizon, there where the sea begins, it's kind of purple and it didn't look like that in real.

Dear Enny,

i think degrub is right in his proposals. Especially for sunset pictures it is not straightforward to choose the correct Negafix profile and the exposure setting with it. Eventually, you can edit the Negafix profile in the Curves panel and save an adjusted copy for your needs.
