Color managed work flow

Postby MikeD56 » Sun Dec 24, 2006 3:59 pm

What is the proper order to color manage my equipment? Do I do the monitor then the scanner and then the printer?
Thanks
Mike

If you get something like Monaco EZ, you can do all three (assuming you have a flat bed scanner). It will get you close. Maybe close enough.

If not, then you are looking at spending whatever you want to get closer.

You have a good order, monitor, scanner, printer. But you can start with just the scanner if you want and scan in images that only have the black and white point set and perhaps gamma without paying attention to how it looks on the screen. THere are some downsides however, pictures of sunsets etc with a color cast may suffer somewhat without a good preview.
