Hi,
I successfully use my silverfast SE with Mac OS X 10.10.2, my Epson V700 to scan pictures, but I can't change the source to "Transparency Mode" to use it for my negatives.
I can see the menu option, but it was grey out.
I already use 24-48 bit mode but still cannot select the Transparency mode.
Please help?
Thanks.
Thongchai

Re: cannot use Transparency mode
Dear Thongchai,
This usually happens when the Scanner loses connection to the Transparency unit in the lid.
Please switch off SilverFast and the scanner.
Then disconnect and re-connect the cable at the back of the scanner connecting the transparency unit in the lid to the chassis of the scanner.
Afterwards restart the scanner and SilverFast.
The transparency mode should be back.
If not please test scanning in transparency using the EPSON scan utility.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
